The experimental activities under the project KP-06H96/8 continue at the Maize Institute – Knezha with the implementation of the next stage.
In the 6–8 leaf phase, a second treatment of the plants with the growth-stimulating bacteria Bacillus megaterium was carried out. The aim is to monitor the effect of the bacteria on the growth, development and adaptive potential of the maize under field conditions.
In parallel with the treatment, basic biometric indicators of the plants were recorded, including measuring plant height, stem diameter, as well as leaf length and width. The collected data will serve to assess the influence of the applied microorganisms on the vegetative development of the crop and for comparison between the individual experimental variants.
In the next stages of the study, the monitoring of morphological and physiological indicators will continue, as well as the assessment of the potential of the bacterial strains to improve plant growth and resistance to adverse environmental conditions.
